Not a clinic.
A starting point.
Most patients arrive after trying to push through pain on their own. By the time they reach us, they've already adapted — compensating, avoiding, shrinking their world. Our job is to reverse that.
Assess the root cause
We don't treat the symptom in isolation. Every evaluation traces back to where the movement pattern broke down — often upstream from where it hurts.
Design a real plan
No cookie-cutter protocols. Your treatment evolves from your specific diagnosis, your goals, and the life you're trying to get back to.
Build lasting capacity
Recovery isn't the end point — it's the foundation. We equip you with the strength and movement literacy to stay ahead of setbacks.
Care that matches
the complexity
of your body.
Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Post-surgical recovery, fracture healing, and joint restoration — guided back to full function with progressive, evidence-based loading.
Sports Medicine
From first-time sprains to post-operative return-to-play. We help athletes rebuild resilience and return stronger than before.
Neurological Rehabilitation
Stroke, Parkinson's, MS, and other neurological conditions — retraining the nervous system for improved balance, coordination, and independence.
Workplace & Ergonomics
Repetitive strain, posture-related pain, and return-to-work programs. We address the mechanical demands of your job, not just your symptoms.
Balance & Fall Prevention
Targeted training to improve stability and confidence — reducing fall risk and restoring the freedom to move through your day without fear.
Chronic Pain Management
When pain outlasts the injury, the approach changes. We combine manual therapy, graded exercise, and education to rebuild your relationship with movement.
Grounded in
clinical expertise.
Driven by results.
Roots Physical Therapy was founded on a simple conviction: effective rehabilitation requires time, attention, and a therapist who actually knows your case. That's why we keep our schedule intentionally small.
Every patient receives an individualized evaluation and a treatment plan designed around their specific condition, lifestyle, and goals — not a template. Sessions are typically 60 minutes, one-on-one, with no handoffs to assistants.
Located in the heart of Clifton, we serve patients across the Passaic County area who are looking for a practice that treats the person, not just the diagnosis.
